The Forest of Dean is full of Fun & Adventure......for all the family!
The Forest of Dean is a haven for all, with a huge variety of activities on offer. You can take a gentle stroll through the woods, or set out on long distance treks, should you love to explore in the outdoors. It’s a fantastic spot for orienteering or geocaching, and with a number of cycle trails available, cyclists have the opportunity to take relaxed family rides or get adventurous with some off-road routes. Adrenaline junkies can also try their hand at driving off-road, rock-climbing, or whizzing through the canopies on zip-line courses. If you’re more interested in taking to the waters, you can try your hand at canoeing, scuba-diving, kayaking, or while away the afternoon with some peaceful fishing.
There are a huge variety of attractions in the Forest of Dean area, too. Puzzlewood is a fantastic place to take the kids with its magical winding pathways, mazes and play areas, as well as animals to feed. A trip on the charming Perrygrove Railway is also a must for the little ones. Go Ape is a brilliant resort for kids and adults alike who are looking for some real adventure in the tree tops. We also recommend downloading the Hidden Heritage app, which will guide you through the forest’s Family Cycle Trail and tell you all about the area’s incredible history along the way.
