A popular location for entertainment and relaxation
Golf in the Forest of Dean simply wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t for our popular Clubhouse bar and restaurant providing players with much-needed refreshments. Open all day, seven days a week, the bar serves a variety of drinks and bar snacks.
Situated within the old Bells Grammar School building, the Clubhouse also features Potter’s Restaurant, which is named after local playwright Dennis Potter – a former pupil of the school. Open for breakfast and evening meals, Potter’s restaurant serves spectacular cuisine, made fresh with as much local produce as possible. Our dedicated, talented team of chefs have worked with us for many years and know exactly how to rustle up wholesome, traditional dishes which are firm favourites with diners. We also have a range of vegetarian dishes available and can happily cater for any other dietary requirements – just let our staff know of your needs and they’ll be sure to oblige.
The Clubhouse is also a popular spot for entertainment, with live bands, casino evenings and summer balls regularly taking place in our main function suite. Be sure to check our what’s on page regularly to keep up to date with all the fabulous events we’ve got planned!
In the sports lounge area of the bar, you can enjoy a few fun games of pool, or sit back and relax with Sky Sports on the television. If in summer months you’d rather soak up some sun, our balcony area is the perfect place to retire to with a drink in hand. The balcony overlooks our county standard bowling green, so it’s a brilliant spot for keeping an eye on the afternoon’s play.
